Constant_V: Declarations
25 photosDeclarations is an ongoing artistic research project that looks into the poetic materiality of the CSS web-language. The project is initiated by graphic designer Doriane Timmermans, a member of the collective Open Source Publishing.
Doriane invited a group of artists, writers, amateurs, designers and hackers to came together for a week to inspect a shift in design practices emerging from the nature of the web.
The results of this worksession, the first of this research, are presented as an installation in Constant’s window.

Danse ton silence
8 photosFrom 1 to 8 March 2024 Constant has the pleasure to host the urban projection by The Danse ton silence collective (Sophie Frérard and Marie Van Acker) and Supernova Film Lab (Laurence Denhaerinck). On the walls of the Rue du Fort, at dusk, a woman dances. A real reappropriation of the body, it is her testimony to resilience. As an act of resistance, the survivor dances endlessly, in a never-ending loop. This time, she won't be bothered by the night. Constant_V: Cypher Sex X Oddd
30 photosTo start 2024, Constant celebrates the publication of the manual 'How to Cypher Sex: A Manual for Collective Digital Self-Defense Guides'. Constant supported the collective Cypher Sex in the making of this "how to" manual that will lay out strategies on how to write locally-oriented digital self-defense guides aimed at empowering LGBTQ* people, women, and sex workers. Cypher Sex is a queer feminist collective aimed at empowering LGBTQ* people, women, and sex workers in their use of online services and digital tools through workshops, guides, and personalized consultancies. Constant happily invited Oddd to design this window installation.

Sharing Techno-Disobedient stories

We will discuss practices that arose during a collective research week around Techno-disobedience that was organised in collaboration with esc medien kunst labor in Graz, Austria in October 2023. 16 photosLa Vitrine de Constant devient pendant deux mois une interface publique pour aborder les luttes en cours contrant l’épuisement des ressources communautaires apporté par les entreprises BigHigh Tech Cloud. ooooo redimensionne, relaie et retransmet, espérons + consensuellement, en solidarité transversale, les mots du réseau de grève féministe "cloud to crowd". Rêver dans les ruines de Big Tech : ooooo veut improviser et animer ce slogan et continuer le brainstorming collectif, en s’engageant au niveau de la rue du Fort. Ce qui semblait être un graffiti numériquement pulvérisé, prouve la résistance au régime des Clouds vectralistes.
